AIHA Graduate Student Conference Subsidy

--DEADLINE: September 29, 2011

In an effort to defray some of the traveling costs for graduate students attending the annual American Italian Historical Association conference, the association has set aside limited funds for student travel. (Please note: This is a separate application process from the fellowship application guidelines. You may certainly apply for a fellowship and also travel funds if you choose; the awarding of the fellowships and the decisions about travel funds subsidies are made separately.) The funds will be assigned by an AIHA sub-committee whose members are chosen by the AIHA Executive Board.

ELIGIBILITY:

  • Graduate students accepted to present a paper at AIHA conference for the year funds are being requested.
  • Graduate students in good standing in their own home institution's graduate program (i.e., completing work in a timely manner; no academic probation, etc.).
  • Prior applicants are encouraged to resubmit previously non-funded applications.
  • Students applying for fellowships are also eligible.
Qualifications, seniority, travel distance from conference location, previously assigned subsidy, and quality of application will be considered in decision making.
